Over the past year or so, possibly longer, I've been really interested in the minimalist lifestyle. Perhaps it's due to my background of loving all things black, white, and grey (thanks, photo school!), or perhaps it's because I've always loved the look of clean, simple lines and shapes. During my time researching the lifestyle and growing to appreciate the mantra "less is more" I came across something that intrigued me. Something I may actually want to try. It's called the capsule wardrobe.
Essentially, a capsule wardrobe is a small curated collection of clothing that reflects each season. Each season is usually limited to a certain number of items, for example 10, which you rotate and mix and match throughout the season to create a wide variety of outfits. However, these 10 items do not include staples such as camisoles, underwear, socks, or workout gear. What it does include are tops, bottoms, shoes, dresses, and outerwear. The idea behind the capsule wardrobe is to minimize what you have, invest in quality pieces, and really love what you do have rather than always thinking you need more.
Tell me, do you think you could curate and enjoy your own little capsule wardrobe? Check out some inspiration below!
