Blogging. It's something you hear all the time now from pretty much everyone. People either write, read, or share things on or from blogs and it has become a way of life now. It's how I learn about things, how I find inspiration, and also how I entertain myself. Also, a lot of what I read on blogs will inspire me to try new things, write about them myself, or push to learn more about something. Basically, I love all things blogging.
That being said, one thing I'm always curious about is what other blogs people read are. I get pretty excited when people share their latest blog finds, or the delicious recipe they found online that they're trying out that night, or how their fashion or style was influenced by a blog. Since I'm so curious about this, I figured other people probably curious too! Therefore, I've put together a collection of my favourite blogs - ones that influence my blog, my fashion, my lifestyle, my cooking, and so much more. If you're reading this, then please, satisfy my curiosity and share some of yours with me too!

1. Cupcakes & Cashmere I read this blog religiously. I check it every morning and usually check back throughout the day as Emily, the author, tends to update 2-3 times a day. Perfect for blog addicts like me. Cupcakes and cashmere touches on elevating everyday life through entries related to fashion, food, design, and more. I've found a lot of inspiration behind gift giving, decor, and also just how to find the joy in little things everyday since reading her blog. |
2. Joy the Baker Joy's blog is my go-to if I'm looking for any sort of cooking inspiration - especially baking. Her recipes are simple, she explains things well (including why you have to use 'large' eggs in recipes rather than 'medium'), and her photography is impeccable. I also really like the fact that she writes her blog as if she's talking to a friend and you can tell through her writing that she's a pretty down-to-earth chick. Not to mention, she has two amazing books out that I'm dying to get my hands on. |
3. Shutterbean
Shutterbean, aka Tracy Benjamin writes the blog Shutterbean, and guess what? She's best buds with Joy from Joy the Baker! Dave's sister in law, Laura, actually turned me onto her blog as she was always finding good recipes and cool things she was sharing with me online. Once I checked Shutterbean out, I got pretty hooked on her tips, tricks, and Friday lists she posts each week. Not to mention, I've made a few of her recipes for dinner and they are always winners.

4. Brunch on Chestnut Street I found Brunch on Chestnut on kind of a whim. I actually don't even remember what led me to Ashley's blog, but what I do know is that her sense of style, interior design, and again finding the joy in little things is what kept me going back. Ashley has a definite eye for interior design too which I think has helped me develop my own. If you're looking for a blog where the author embraces minimalistic style, cozy interior design, and finding happiness in the little things, then you'll definitely love Brunch on Chestnut. |
5. The Tig
The Tig is the brain child of beauty/actress/foodie extraordinaire Meghan Markle. I discovered her blog after starting to watch Suits (my new favourite TV show). The Tig celebrates all things I love about life; travel, food, beauty, and fashion. It's definitely a good read for those of you who are also passionate about discovering new spots in different cities around the world, learning about food and the process behind impeccable meals, as well as embracing the West Coast lifestyle as Meghan herself is a true, proud, California girl.
