I first learned of Eco Diva Beauty when searching the Internet for a place to buy Ilia lipsticks in Vancouver. To my surprise, and much delight, what I stumbled upon was an online shop that was local to the GVRD, stocked full of eco-friendly, green beauty products. I continued trying to find things about Eco Diva Beauty and I came across their Instagram account, which is run by Garcy Fry, one half of the amazing mother-daughter team that created Eco Diva.
As I swiped through the images taken by (and featuring) Garcy that showcased swatches, daily makeup looks, and new products, I became more enamoured with the numerous green beauty companies I had never heard of, but was quickly becoming obsessed with. Soon after this, I consulted one of my best friends, makeup junkie, and beauty extraordinaire to ask if she had heard about Eco Diva before. To my surprise she had, and she had even ordered from them! What I failed to already mention is that this girlfriend of mine lives in Las Vegas. This continued to impress me as I felt proud that a local business close to my home was already making an international presence.
Finally, after months of pouring over their website, I made my first purchase the other day. For my first order I decided to pick up a few natural deodorants by Schmidt’s I’d been hearing rave reviews about, as well as a couple of lip products by Alima Pure. Let me just tell you, I was so impressed by the whole experience of ordering from Eco Diva I felt I just had to share.
First of all, I placed my order on a Tuesday morning at about 11:00am. Soon after this I received an email thanking me for my order along with a tracking number. Are you kidding me? I literally just ordered this and I can already track it? Wow. By 6:00pm that evening I could see that the order was already received at a mailing facility, estimated to be delivered to me the next day.
So, on the Wednesday I got home from the hospital at about 2:00pm and was a little disappointed that I didn’t see any delivery notice on the door of my building or my mailbox. Once I got in, I decided just to check my tracking number again to see where it was. To my surprise, it said my package was attempted to be delivered and that a notice was left for me. A light bulb went off and I realized I didn’t check for the notice in my mailbox. Five minutes later, delivery notice in hand, I was off to the post office to pick up my package.

Happy as a clam coming home with my new natural beauty products, I plopped down in front of my laptop as soon as I got home to share this experience with you. If you are ever looking for natural, eco friendly, safe products check out Eco Diva Beauty. The experience was probably one of the best I’ve had when shopping online and the fact that they are local to the GVRD and already making their mark internationally to change the beauty habits of women for the better makes me an even prouder customer. Stay tuned for product reviews in the near future!
